Medical and educational needs stay at the center.
About MEMO
Serving the underserved through medical and educational missions.
M.E.M.O. (Medical, Educational Missions and Outreach) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, student-run, humanitarian organization that seeks to serve the underprivileged by addressing their medical and educational needs. Founded in 2007, MEMO is comprised of volunteer students, physicians, and other health professionals who organize and fund programs in Vietnam as sustainable ways to improve the health and well-being of others.
What Makes MEMO Different
The mission is both immediate and long-term.
The About page should explain why MEMO's structure has lasted and why supporters trust it.
Immediate care and long-term opportunity
Medical treatment, education, and community support are designed to work together.
Student leadership with licensed expertise
Students help build the work while physicians, dentists, nurses, and advisors bring mentorship and clinical depth.
Cross-campus community
UCI, UCSD, USC, UCLA, alumni, and supporters all shape MEMO's continuity.
Programs across two regions
Vietnam mission work and Southern California outreach both remain central to the organization's identity.
Our model
Fundraising, service, mentorship, and continuity.
MEMO raises funds throughout the year to support programs that address medical and educational needs through clinics, heart surgeries, dental care, scholarships, orphanage support, hepatitis B education, and local outreach.
Volunteer students help organize, fundraise, and serve alongside physicians, dentists, nurses, and other professionals who bring clinical experience and mentorship to the work.
Leadership & Archives
Every layer of MEMO's history should be visible.
The main About page introduces the people behind the mission, while the archive pages preserve continuity over time.
