It's surreal to say this, but today we're flying back to the US. Bags packed, passports in hand, and hearts full, not just from the last few weeks, but from everything this journey has given us.

Saying goodbye to the amazing 16Gers is so much harder than I thought it would be. Each and every person brought something beautiful to this incredible trip. We showed up wanting to help underserved communities, but in many ways, they helped us. They reminded us what it means to connect, to care, to listen. Every child we met, every smile we saw, every patient interaction we experienced, those memories are stitched into our lives now.

Today also marks the end of my term as Co-Executive Director. That alone is emotional. It's been an honor and a responsibility I never took lightly. Leading alongside my incredible Board of Directors in this role has taught me so much about leadership, humility, and trust. The growth I've experienced, personally and professionally, through this role is immeasurable. I hope I've left something meaningful behind, but I know for sure this experience has left its mark on me.

To everyone who made this journey unforgettable: thank you. And to future 17Gers: you're stepping into something special. Give it your all. It's worth it.

Until next time,

Jordan Nguyen
